After much awaited anticipation here is the news straight from Apple HQs.

Apple iPhone 4S announced -

• Faster processor - A5 chip (faster, 7x faster graphic)
• 8MP camera, 1080p video recording
• 8 hours of talk time
• Dual mode - GSM and CDMA 'World Phone'
• Camera updates: 8MP camera, 1080p video recording
• Airplay
• Voice Recognition Feature: Siri (hold down home button to access voice recognition feature) You can get the forecast, play songs, text someone, get to any webpage, write emails. Sounds just ok right? The on-stage demos were insane. (Available in English, German and French)

New App Announced: Cards...FREE
Free Cards app announced - 21 designs in 6 categories you can send a card for $2.99 domestic and $4.99 worldwide - it will send you a push notification when the card arrives. In short, Hallmark got served.

iPods:
Nano - improved navigation and improved fitness .. walk and run tracking right out of the box.
A bunch of new clock faces including Mickey and Minnie!

iPod Touch - now in white starting at 8GB for $199

• iPhone owns only 5% worldwide mobile phone market (collective yet there are over 1.5 billion units annually. This shows HUGE room for potential.

• Customers have downloaded more than 18 billion apps - more than 1 billion per month.
• Apple has already paid more than 3 billion dollars to app developers.

Ryan: US forces kill Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan

"Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden has been killed by US forces in Pakistan, President Barack Obama has said.

Bin Laden was killed in a ground operation outside Islamabad based on US intelligence, the first lead for which emerged last August.

Mr Obama said after "a firefight", US forces took possession of his body.

Bin Laden was accused of being behind a number of atrocities, including the attacks on New York and Washington on 11 September 2001.

He was top of the US' "most wanted" list.

Mr Obama said it was "the most significant achievement to date in our nation's effort to defeat al-Qaeda"

"The man who masterminded the September 11 attacks was buried at sea in the early hours of this morning, after US forces swooped on a villa in the town of Abbottabad.

In footage filmed at the scene, flames are seen rising from a building that was the apparent target of the raid at 1:30am local time on Sunday.

It is thought Bin Laden had been living in the walled $1m villa - just 35 miles from the Pakistani capital Islamabad - for at least the last eight months."

"Osama bin Laden, the mastermind of the worst terrorist attacks on American soil, is dead, officials said -- almost 10 years after the attacks that killed about 3,000 people.

The founder and leader of al Qaeda was killed by U.S. forces Monday in a mansion in Abbottabad, north of the Pakistani capital of Islamabad, along with other family members, a senior U.S. official told CNN.

In an address to the nation Sunday night, U.S. President Barack Obama called bin Laden's death "the most significant achievement to date in our nation's effort to defeat al Qaeda."

The news touched off an extraordinary outpouring of emotion as crowds gathered outside the White House, in Times Square and at the Ground Zero site, waving American flags, cheering, shouting, laughing and chanting, “U.S.A., U.S.A.!” In New York City, crowds sang “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Throughout downtown Washington, drivers honked horns deep into the night."

Ryan: iPad2, the second coming...

So where do we start, iPad2 hit the streets in the UK yesterday on the 25/03/11 and we were first inline at Apples Cabot store in Bristol. We started to queue at 22:30 on the 24/03/11 and stream live throughout the night, we were joined by 2 others at 4am giving a total of 5 in the queue. This queue had grown to over 200 people by 5pm on the 25th. 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1 and the black curtain drops on Apples new born, Myself followed by Alex (abcsmaj) and Leun entered the store to cheers form the crowds and high 5's from the Apple crew! The experience was second to non and we will be posting video from our live streams shortly. I invested in a 32gb White iPad2 wifi and i love it, so fast, so thin and just feels great! Apples stock in store looked plentiful but we knew it would all be gone! iPad 2 accessories in the apple store was limited but 3rd parties have already reacted to launch with great ranges and stock available online, check out these great iPad 2 cases and compatible great value iPad 2 headphones, you will agree there is a great range available. Also Myself, Alex and Leun were all featured in the News for Bristol as the first inline and for great dedication, you can read this at the Bristol Evening Post . Ryan: Does Mobile Broadband still have a future?

Mobile Broadband has flooded the market in the past 2 years but does it have a sustainable future? We think not in highly populated areas due to the introduction of Public access WiFi but we think it could have real future for rural internet access. This could become a great benefit for rural communities but there is one concern - Signal! Or is this changing? you can now get external antennas which in our experience work and work well. We have been testing a clip antenna
for the past month and saw a 20-30% increase in coverage and we feel it could be even more with a larger antenna

The new driver the mobile broadband is the explosion in table computers when the need for a mobile broadband adapter is no longer needed. There is many popular devices on the market including the Apple iPad and the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Using the Samsung as an example there is many Galaxy Tab accessories on the market making it a very customizable and portable device removing the need for a traditional computer and a USB modem. What ever the future hold for mobile computing there is currently quite a lot of options which is good to see.
